What the Bloody Hell's Going On Here?

Bloody Britain is one man’s journey through the heart and soul of Britain’s murky past and present, from the blood-soaked inns of the English Civil War and Medieval castles with the kind of history to make Game of Thrones look tame to the brutish reality of East Anglian witch hunts and no-holds-barred insights into the underbelly of Northern England.

Yet who is this mysterious Autistic Brit who traverses the length and breadth of his ancestral homeland, drinks pints of bitter in the same cellar that Dick Turpin’s corpse was laid out in by day, and interviews the owners of notorious swinger clubs by night? Well, allow me to introduce myself.

Who the Bloody Hell is this Guy?

You can call me John Saxon. I was born in a little-known corner of England where my ancestors were a hearty blend of famine-fleeing Irishmen and sailor-killing smugglers. From a young age, some of my teachers remarked that I had ‘’an unusual obsession with macabre history and showed little to no interest in the schoolwork provided for me.’’ Well, if only they could see me now!

For the past decade, I’ve been running this self-styled British empire in my own corner of the internet that has earned a beloved following of people who range from mildly curious and eccentric to the downright weird, and I love all of them equally.

Someone once shouted that my work on Bloody Britain had a cult-like feel to it. Although others dispute that I misheard him and he was simply calling me a c... Either way, it’s impossible to deny that Bloody Britain has certainly grown into a cult status; although you’re free to leave whenever you want, I’m not David Koresh.

I’m firmly on the spectrum and have a keen eye for the quirky and bizarre, which has resulted in some of the most out-of-the-box coverage of Britain you’ll ever see. It’s not for the easily offended or the prudish, but it’s guaranteed to be an eye-opener that you can tell all your friends about, if you’re even willing to admit you read Bloody Britain in public, that is.
